Weekend Eco Ticket (Donichi Eco Kippu)

Weekend Eco Tickets (Donichi Eco Kippu) are the best deal on weekends, public holidays, and the eighth of each month (Environmental Conservation Day). Use it for unlimited bus and subway rides for one day. There are also facilities that offer a discount on entrance fees if you present a Weekend Eco Ticket (Donichi Eco Kippu).
Note: Weekend Eco Ticket (Donichi Eco Kippu) eligibility on buses is limited to city buses and the Nagoya Sightseeing Route Bus.
These tickets may not be used on the elevated section of the Yutorito Line, Meitetsu buses, or Aonami Line.

1-Day Tickets are convenient, money-saving tickets that allow unlimited rides for one day or 24 hours.
There are two types of 1-Day Tickets: 1-Day Bus Tickets (for bus only) and 1-Day Bus & Subway Tickets.
Nagoya Subway 24-Hour Ticket lets you ride all of the subway lines for 24 hours.
There are also tourist facilities in Nagoya that offer a discount on entrance fees if you present a 1-Day Ticket or 24-Hour Ticket.

*The buses for which 1-Day Tickets can be used are limited to city buses.

Convenient Transportation
IC Cards Manaca/TOICA

Manaca combines both transportation tickets and electronic money on a single IC card.
Manaca can be used on the Nagoya City subway, city bus, Me~guru bus, Meitetsu train, Aonami Line, Yutorito Line, and in the same areas as JR Chubu's TOICA.
In order to ride, simply touch your card to the card reader on the ticket gate or bus fare box.
Transfer from city bus to city bus, or from city bus to subway within 90 minutes and receive a discount of 80 yen for adults (40 yen for children).
The more you ride, the more Mileage Points you'll earn! Manaca Mileage Points can be used to pay for city bus or subway fares.

Manaca (Transportation Bureau, City of Nagoya)

TOICA is the IC card of the Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central).
The TOICA card can be used when riding in the Suica area, Manaca area (Nagoya City subway, city bus, Me~guru bus, Meitetsu trains, Aonami Line, Yutorito Line), ICOCA area, and SUGOCA area, among others. TOICA can also be used in areas such as Greater Tokyo, Greater Nagoya, the Kansai Region, and Greater Kitakyushu.
Use TOICA for shopping! TOICA, Suica, ICOCA, SUGOCA, and other IC cards can be used at participating stores.

TOICA (JR Central)

Nagoya Sightseeing Route Bus Me~guru One-Day Pass...

This pass is specifically for the Me~guru Nagoya Sightseeing Route Bus, which does a tour of Nagoya.
The One-Day Pass can be used for one day of unlimited rides.
It can also provide a discount on the entrance fee at tourist facilities along the Me~guru route on the same day the pass is used.
Furthermore, it offers benefits at restaurants and hotels along the Me~guru route on the same day the pass is used.

One-Day Passes are sold aboard Me~guru buses. Ask to purchase one when you ride the bus.
Other locations that sell One-Day Passes include the i Center at Oasis 21, the Kanayama Tourist Information Center, and major travel agencies.

Nagoya Sightseeing Route Bus「Me~guru」
The Sightseeing Route Bus operates from Tuesday to Sunday (if Monday is a holiday, out of service the following weekday). Travel around to Nagoya City's tourism spots efficently and easily! Ride the bus an unlimited number of times in one day with the One-Day Pass, available for purchase on Me~guru buses.

City Buses
City buses are route buses that travel around all of Nagoya City. Non-step buses that are easy for everyone to use, including senior citizens or those with disabilities, are also steadily being introduced. City bus routes cover a wide area in the city, providing convenient access to areas trains do not reach.

The main bus terminals for city buses are at Nagoya Station and Sakae (Oasis 21 terminal). Bus fare is 210 yen across the board. Major subway stations also have bus terminals, and bus routes extend into every part of the city.
Additionally, the Meitetsu Bus Center at the south end of Nagoya Station is the terminus for Meitetsu buses and highway buses, and this can be an incredibly convenient way to travel depending on one’s destination.
For those wanting to tour around Nagoya, the Nagoya Sightseeing Route Bus Me~guru is recommended as a way to get around.

Subway
The Nagoya subway includes six lines: Higashiyama, Meijo, Meiko, Tsurumai, Sakuradori, and Kamiida. With a large number of lines for smoother transit, the subway is a highly convenient way of sightseeing in Nagoya. Economical 1-Day Tickets are also available for purchase.

The Nagoya subway includes six lines: Higashiyama, Meijo, Meiko, Tsurumai, Sakuradori, and Kamiida. The Meijo line was turned into a loop in October 2004, becoming the country’s first subway line to do so. As a loop, the Meijo line connects to all other subway lines at Sakae, Kanayama and elsewhere, making it a convenient way to get around the city. The main tourist attractions in the city are within walking distance of the subway.
Subway fares range from 210 yen for one zone to 340 yen for five zones.
Special, convenient tickets are also available, including a 1-Day Ticket for a day of unlimited rides on city buses and the subway (870 yen), Nagoya Subway 24-Hour Ticket for unlimited rides on the subway for 24 hours (760 yen), and the Weekend Eco Ticket (Donichi Eco Kippu Ticket) (620 yen), which allows unlimited rides on city buses and the subway on weekends, public holidays, and the eighth of each month (Environmental Conservation Day).

Railroad (JR, Meitetsu, Kintetsu)
Nagoya is the main station along the JR Tokaido Main Line and JR Tokaido Shinkansen Line.
Private railways include Nagoya Railway (Meitetsu), which has a broad network between Aichi Prefecture and the lower part of Gifu Prefecture. The Kintetsu Railway also connects Nagoya with Osaka and other major cities, as well as Ise-Shima.

There are three railways in Nagoya: JR, Nagoya Railway (Meitetsu) with access to Aichi and Gifu, and Kintetsu Railway with access to Mie and the Kansai region.
JR trains within the city run on the Tokaido Main Line and Chuo Main Line. Connections between JR and the subway can be made at Nagoya and Kanayama stations for the Tokaido Line, and at Nagoya, Kanayama, Tsurumai, Chikusa, and Ozone stations for the Chuo Line.
Transfers to and from Meitetsu can be made at Nagoya, Kanayama, Sakae, and Ozone stations. The Tsurumai Line is jointly operated with Meitetsu from Akaike and Kami-Otai stations to offer convenient access up to Toyota and Inuyama.
Kintetsu, which runs from Mie prefecture, Nara, and Osaka connects to the subway at Hatta and Nagoya stations.
