Special Exhibition "Swords Associated with Warring States Warlords - Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu"
Nagoya Sword Museum ""Nagoya Sword World"" (hereinafter referred to as our museum) will be holding a special exhibition ""Swords Associated with Warring States Warlords - Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu"" in the special exhibition room on the 4th floor of the North Building from Saturday, January 11th, 2025 to Sunday, March 16th, 2025 (Reiwa 7).
Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu are two of the most famous warlords of the Warring States period. This exhibition will focus on swords associated with Hideyoshi and Ieyasu from our museum's collection.
The main exhibits include the important cultural property ""Tachi Mei Bishu Osafuneju Kagemitsu, dated October 5th year of Showa"" (Tachi Mei Bishu Osafuneju Kagemitsu), handed down from Tokugawa Ieyasu, and the important cultural property ""Tantou Mei Bishu Osafuneju Nagayoshi, dated May 15th year of Shohei"" (Tantou Mei Bishu Osafuneju Chogi), handed down from Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
