Exhibition of the World of Shogo Kariyazaki, a Flower Arranger, at the Tsutsugikan
Cultural Path Kirishimakan's first solo exhibition to commemorate the 100th anniversary of its construction!
This exhibition will present a world of beauty that is a graceful collaboration between Cultural Path Kirishimakan (former Imoto Tamesaburo's residence), which is celebrating its 100th anniversary, and the ikebana works of flower artist Karayazaki Shogo, who is celebrating 40 years of flower arranging.
Cultural Path Kirishimakan, designated a Tangible Cultural Property and Important Landscape Building by Nagoya City, is a mansion built in 1926 (Taisho 15) by Imoto Tamesaburo, an export ceramics merchant.
It is a historic building that blends Japanese and Western styles and is brimming with the romanticism of the Taisho era, with a Western-style building lavishly decorated with stained glass, a Japanese-style building with a nostalgic fragrance, and a garden where the changing of the seasons will make you forget time.
