In commemoration of samurai warriors
The Battle of Okehazama took place in Okehazama, Nagoya City between powerful generals Imagawa Yoshimoto and Oda Nobunaga during Japan's ancient Warring States period (circa 1467–1590). This event is a memorial for those who fell during the historic battle and lights some 3,500 lanterns around O Pond in their memory.
Other festivities include guided history tours, a parade of armor-clad warriors, and more for a glimpse of what the time of the battle would have been like.
