Nagoya is holding its Fire Department New Year Ceremony and Drills for the first time in five years at Port of Nagoya Garden Pier. See awesome demonstrations by the fire department and its firemen from all over the city. Stunning shots from powerful hoses, flying fire department helicopter displays, and other seat-gripping performances make for a day of inspiration.
On the same day from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm at the Fire Department Fureai Plaza, the Pokka Lemon Fire Department Band holds a concert, kids can wear fire uniforms just like a real firefighter, an earthquake simulation vehicle lets you experience what earth tremors feel like, food trucks come together, and plenty of other events entertain all, no matter your age.
Plus, fire engines, ambulances, rescue vehicles, and the one-and-only Special Advanced Rescue Truck in Nagoya used by the Hyper Rescue Team are put on display. You even have the chance to ride in a ladder truck in addition to countless other awesome events only Nagoya City's fire department can deliver.
