Towers/Gate Tower Christmas
One of Nagoya's largest Christmas trees
A Christmas tree of large proportions—one of the biggest in the greater Nagoya area—makes an appearance with the theme of "The Wonder Gift of Christmas".
Vividly red ribbons decorate the tree with dazzling sparkles as it illustrates the fun and joy of giving Christmas gifts to loved ones. A hall of lights decorating the tree teams up with the new, large-scale Linear Gate Vision digital signage to light up the entire event space with awe-inspiring light and emotion.

Endoji Shopping Street's Endoji Illumination!
Curtains of light
Endoji Shopping Street is illuminated by curtains of light extending from the east to west of the arcade as only the beloved area can offer. The east–west view from underneath the arcade is a sure bet, but the silhouette from the side streets too is a spectacular scene.

Dai Nagoya Building's Christmas Light Display 2024
Take in the spectacle of a sparkling crystal illumination and Nagoya Station's nightscape
Approximately 100 thousand or so bulbs and a four-meter tall Christmas tree illuminate Dai Nagoya Building and its motif of animals in a sparkling aurora, making for the perfect photo spot. A rooftop garden some 30 meters above ground is illuminated in a dazzling array of lights.

Hirokoji Street Light Display
Dazzling light art
The trees along Hirokoji Street from Sasashima Intersection outside of Nagoya Station to Hirokoji Aoi Intersection are decorated with some 460 thousand LED bulbs to illuminate nighttime winter Nagoya.
The street's trees are connected by an approximate four-kilometer line of lights to illuminate statues and hand prints of eight Nobel Award winners with ties to Nagoya along the way. The lights shine late into the night, also making for a romantic walk by couples during the Christmas season.

Nagoya Lucent Tower's Winter Light Display
A production of wondrous color
Illuminated trees and dome lighting color Nagoya Lucent Tower's vicinity in dynamic colors. Periodic light shows too are a must-see spectacle.

Merry Santa's Christmas 2024 at Noritake Garden
Little Santas' Grand Christmas Strategy
Fun decorations based on an original "Little Santas' Grand Christmas Strategy" story style the garden, entertaining eventgoers. At the base of chimney monuments, Little Santas like those stuck with their big bellies and different-sized Christmas trees can be found all around, offering a little laugh here and there.

Meieki Light Display 2024
The winter scene lighting up the Meieki, or Nagoya Station
Meieki-dori Street is the main drag outside Nagoya Station—a point to and from which countless people commute each day—but experiences a new kind of life each winter. The outside of the station from its rotary to the Sasashima Intersection erupts in a luminous light display. The event kicks off the start of winter at the station, making for a perfect scene to stroll along with friends, family, or that special someone.

Midland Light Display 2024
Dazzling Champagne gold illumination
The warm glow of Champagne gold lights bring together the whole of the Meieki area, welcoming visitors as they go to and from Nagoya Station.
The spectacle incorporates CO2-free lighting and decorates with some of the ornaments made from recycled car windshields and paper, in an eco-friendly display.

• Directions: Directly connected via five entrances to Midland Square, in turn available from underground Sun Road, accessible from the subway, JR, Meitetsu, and Kintetsu Nagoya Stations.
Sky Promenade Full Moon Project
Note: Suspended temporarily from Wed, Nov 27 due to mechanical issues.
A first for the Nagoya area, a 6.5-meter-diameter moon-shaped photogenic balloon developed by the #FullMoonProject hovers in the outdoor observation deck Sky Promenade of Midland Square Mall. The latest technology lets you observe details and the other side of the moon you're not normally able to see, making for a totally surreal experience enough to make time slip away.
One of Nagoya's top night views teams up with this photogenic moon balloon for a social media frenzy sure to go viral!

KITTE Nagoya Sync Link Christmas
Transmitting (Sync) the excitement of and sharing (Link) Christmas
A Sync Link Tree stands 10 meters tall on the first-floor atrium with a vibrant array of sparkling colors. Use the Shake Sync device to interactively change the colors to your liking with a digital device.
Enjoy the Christmas spirit with all its joy and brilliant colors.

Hisaya Odori Park's Winter Light Display
An elegant golden emerald world
Hisaya Odori Park is cocooned in the elegance of gold and emerald colors. The pathway and overpass are decorated with lights for a magical aura you won't experience during the daytime. Pass through a special arch with points of light falling like shooting stars and gaze upon a spectacle of a tree in this extraordinary environment. The colors and productions change regularly, offering a different experience every time you come.

Toyoda Gosei Rink at Oasis21
Nagoya's iceless skate rink
This iceless skating rink rings in its 16th season as an extraordinary and expansive semi-outdoor activity spot. The rink is made with a special plastic substance that allows skaters to slide just as they would over regular ice.
After the sun goes down, sparkling illuminations make for the perfect date or photo op.

Nagoya Christmas Market 2024 at Hisaya Odori Park's EDION Hisaya Square
A traditional European-style Christmas market
A gigantic fir Christmas tree acts as the center piece to a romantic Christmas production for the 10th anniversary of the Nagoya Christmas Market with the longest period held: 20 days. Enjoy European cuisine including warm, sweet German mulled wine—or "glühwein"—and sausages, stews, and sweets as you shop for Christmas ornaments and other cute European imports.

Vivid lights shining throughout a shopping street
Sakae-Minami and Osu's renowned winter light display is a staple event of Nagoya City's Naka Ward, lighting the area in a uniform Champagne gold with some three million LED lights. Walk along the brilliant and dazzling streets for an unforgettable experience.

A world of wonderous lights awaits you at Joshidai-koji Street
Joshidai-koji Street runs along the Sakae-Higashi area (the greater Sakae area's 4 and 5 chome sections) and is home to Ikeda Park, which this year too, is enveloped in brilliant beams of light. Enjoy the always bustling nights of Sakae-Higashi as the warm light envelopes you for an unforgettable evening during the park's wondrous light display.

ASUNAL KANAYAMA's Winter Light Display 2024
A mysterious world of light
ASUNAL KANAYAMA mall teams up with the Barbapapa family to offer a fun winter light display. The Barbapapa characters from the famous French cartoon shapeshift into different forms, welcoming all to the event.
A snow dome decorated with characters taking on the Barbapapa logo, characters taking on the form of a chair perfect for a snapshot, and fun family members whose shape you can play with and change for Barbapapa shapeshifting photos are all around the mall.
Come and spend a heartwarming time at ASUNAL KANAYAMA this winter.

Port of Nagoya Sea Train Land's Winter Illumination 2024–2025
Insta-worthy nighttime amusement park
If you're looking for an Insta-worthy spot, the winter Port of Nagoya Sea Train Land is it with fantastic photo ops against a backdrop of an illuminated Ferris wheel and merry-go-round. A starry dome reimagining the night sky greets visitors at the entrance while heart-shaped, dolphin, and other decorations color the inside of the park.

Nagoya Port Winter Light Display
A small escape from everyday life in a sparkling port
Port of Nagoya Garden Pier’s temporary garden (Tsudoi Plaza) and the area in front of the Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium become illuminated with approximately 145 thousand LED lights. Adding to last year's waterfall of light, center tree, and heart objects, this year offers a rest space all around so you can take your time and relax as you enjoy the nighttime illumination.

First illumination of LEGOLAND® since the park's opening!

Hoshigaoka Terrace Winter Light Display
Botanical Town: The Wind Master's Hill
This year's illumination portrays our world as one where humans shrink to dwarfs, living together with plants and insects as it illustrates houses and townscapes coexisting with nature. Smell the scents of seasonal flowers, look up at the starlit sky, and dream of that special someone... Reconsider the importance of the warmth you receive from nature and other people as you reflect on the notion of coexistence and the natural environments we have begun to lose due to the state of society while strolling along the urban stage of Hoshigaoka.

Nabana no Sato's Famous Mt. Fuji
One of the largest illumination events in Japan
This event is one of Japan's largest-scale illuminations, cocooning all who come in almost unimaginable sparkling lights. Take in the view of famous Mt. Fuji as this year's theme. An international pinnacle of quality and breathtaking scale offer continuous scenes more grand than you can imagine. All who come and see the expansive theme area are sure to go home speechless upon seeing all its colorful and expressive glory.

Laguna Ten Bosch's Lagunasia Light Display
A light show portraying the deep sea and space's majesty
This year's light display heralds the theme of an "Aqua Planet"—a beautiful, dreamlike display of the deep sea and space. Some of the largest flower pedals in Japan float along the pool, attractions letting you sail along the water through a crystal arch, and other new features accent the festivities this year.
