Garden Restaurant Tokugawaen
Greenery of Nagoya's representative tourist spot, "Tokugawa Garden," is a restaurant. Tokugawa Garden has its origins in the time when the second lord of the Owari domain and head of the Tokugawa Three Houses, Mitsutomo Tokugawa, moved to his retirement residence "Osone Goten." After Mitsutomo's passing, it became the residence of the Owari Tokugawa family. Although a significant portion of the garden was lost to the air raids of 1945, Nagoya City began managing and preserving it as a public park. In 2005, during the Aichi Expo, it was rejuvenated into an attractive tourist destination.
This Garden Restaurant is situated in the captivating Nagoya tourist spot of Tokugawa Garden, surrounded by lush greenery and offering views of the magnificent and pristine expanse of "Ryusen Lake." Bathed in the invigorating sunlight during the day, and gently illuminated by subtle lights in the evening, the garden exudes a fantastical ambiance.
Within the dining area, a fusion of Japanese and Western elements is masterfully balanced, with Baccarat chandeliers adorning the space. Here, you can indulge in dishes that skillfully harmonize the traditions of French cuisine with the essence of Japan. It's an ideal setting for special occasions, celebratory dinners, and memorable moments. Furthermore, the adjoining banquet venue, "Garden Hall," can accommodate gatherings and parties of up to 120 guests.
