Route Bus Me~guru
The Me~guru Nagoya Sightseeing Route Bus is a special and convenient bus that makes a tour of popular tourist spots in Nagoya. 1 「Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology」Stop
A participatory museum established by the Toyota Group. The museum is housed in a red-brick factory from the Taisho Period (1912 to 1926) that remains at the birthplace of the Toyota Group. The museum features many textile machines and Toyota’s very fi rst passenger car.
You could “see”, “surprise”, “learn” through the dynamic exhibitions and diverse demonstrations, and enjoy with the entire family.

2-B 「Noritake Garden」Stop
Visit the Craft Center to learn about ceramics-making processes and draw your own design on pottery, view Old Noritake products and design sketches on display at the museum, and enjoy shopping at multiple stores, all on verdant green grounds. When you have a spare moment, we also recommend taking a break at the cafe or restaurant, where you’ll be served with Noritake tableware.

3 「Shikemichi」Stop
Shikemichi is a town of merchants built along the progress of construction of original Nagoya Castle, of which warehouses with thick motor demonstrate what the castle town used to look to us at present day. Narrow alleys are lined closely with terrace houses, or the like. People can indulge in the friendly atmosphere of traditional commercial and working-class neighborhoods, which will be very rare experience one can expect at the center of city. Some restaurants and street shops are operating in renovated old buildings. It is a spot ideal for a leisurely town walk.
4 「Nagoya Castle」Stop
Built by Tokugawa Ieyasu, this castle is a symbol of the city and hailed as "the caste makes what Owari-Nagoya makes what she is". Highlights of the castle are its castle tower crowned with golden shachihoko (killer whale) statues, the gorgeous Hommaru Palace and the elegant beauty of gardens throughout four seasons.While many buildings in the castle were burnt down during the Second World War, restoration work of the Palace was completed and opened to the public in 2018.

6 「Tokugawaen, The Tokugawa Art Museum, Hosa Library」Stop
The Tokugawa Art Museum has permanent exhibits of the tools used by the Owari Tokugawa
feudal lords, with a focus on the belongings of Tokugawa Ieyasu. Over 10,000 items are housed
in the museum, including nine National Treasures, such as the Tale of Genji picture scrolls, and
59 registered Important Cultural Properties, which are exhibited on a rotating basis.

6 「Tokugawaen, The Tokugawa Art Museum, Hosa Library」Stop
This Japanese garden features walkways winding around a central pond symbolizing the ocean. The waterfalls and streams use the differences in elevation to create an enjoyable, dynamic landscape. The park was once a residence of the Owari Tokugawa clan, and the vestiges of the old samurai manor can still be seen in places such as the Kuromon gate, Wakinagaya building, and walls. Seasonal features of the park include peonies from the beginning to the end of April, irises from the end of May to the middle of June, and the autumn leaves at the end of November.

6 「Tokugawaen, The Tokugawa Art Museum, Hosa Library」Stop
The Hosa Library is centered around the Owari Tokugawa clan’s former collection of books, housing and displaying approximately 120,000 of Japan and China’s old masterworks.

7 「Cultural Path Futaba Museum」Stop
The residence of Sadayakko Kawakami, "Japan's first actress," and Momosuke Fukuzawa, "the king of electric power." This Taisho-era manor built in a semi-European style was called Futaba Palace, and the restored grounds are quite resplendent. In addition to the displays of Sadayakko's personal effects and literary materials, the stained glass windows in the main hall are a must-see!

7 「Cultural Path Futaba Museum」Stop
A building that lives on through the changing times, with an unchanging charm
The former residence of ceramics merchant Tamesaburo Imoto was built between the end of the Taisho period and the beginning of the Showa period. Japanese- and Western-style buildings are preserved on the grounds, along with two storehouses—one in the west and the other in the east—a tea room, and a garden. The residence is designated as a tangible cultural asset of the City of Nagoya and a building of scenic importance.

7 「Cultural Path Futaba Museum」Stop
Tetsujiro Haruta, a successful ceramics merchant and founder of Taiyo Shoko Co., Ltd., is said to have asked architect Goichi Takeda to build this house. The Haruta residence consists of a Western-style building with a Japanese-style building behind it, and from 1947 to 1951, it was requisitioned by the U.S. 5th Air Force as a headquarters.
The first floor of the Western-style building is currently being used as a French fusion restaurant.
Tours of the buildings are conducted by request. For inquiries, please contact the Former Residence of Sasuke Toyoda, the east neighbor of the residence. (* Tours of the restaurant are not available)

7 「Cultural Path Futaba Museum」Stop
Sasuke Toyoda was a business man and also the younger brother of Sakichi Toyoda, master of invention. At that time, the residence of Risaburo Toyoda was also located here. Although the gate and fence of Risaburo's place remain, only Sakichi's house exists to this day. On the 1st floor, you can see lights in the shape of lotus buds and air vents with the word "Toyota" designed into the motif of a crane.

8 「Nagoya City Archives South」Stop
Built in 1922, this former Nagoya district court-house is a brick building in the neo-Baroque style. It has been designated as an Important Japanese Cultural property. It is currently home to the Nagoya City public archives, and government-related documents are stored and displayed here. In addition to detention cells and other displays related to the administration of justice, the stained glass windows near the central staircase are well worth a look.

9 「Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER」Stop
The city’s landmark tower was built in 1954 as Japan’s first consolidated radio tower. It underwent total renovations for the first time since becoming operational and had a grand reopening in September 2020. In addition to the observation decks situated 90 m and 100 m above ground level, the 3rd floor has a café where visitors can relax and enjoy the view of the Sakae cityscape and a gift shop that sells one-of-a-kind products. Floors 4 and 5 are now a hotel. One of the tower’s attractions is the lighting that illuminates it at night.

9 「Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER」Stop
Three-dimensional park with function of bus terminal. ”Spaceship-AQUA” with a large glass roof offers amazing air walk at 14 m above the ground, and lively events are held almost every week at the “Galaxy platform”. There is also a wealth of restaurants and shops to explore, making this quite a literal oasis within the city and a perfect place to take a break. The Spaceship-AQUA, lighted up in the night, has become a popular photogenic spot.

9 「Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER」Stop
Large cultural complex located in the Sakae area of central Nagoya. Features the Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art with a collection of about 8,500 pieces; the Aichi Prefectural Art Theater, made up of three halls: the Main Theater, Concert Hall, and Mini Theater; art spaces for lectures, small-scale exhibits, etc.; the Art Library, housing and offering reading materials related to art; and more.

11 「Hirokoji-Fushimi」Stop
The exterior design features, a 35-meter-diameter planetarium, one of the largest in the world, and also, be sure to check out our four large-scale exhibitions featuring an aurora film shown in a -30°C room and a 9 meter tall manmade tornado! These attractions are highly entertaining and allow museum visitors to experience the power of nature. Additionally, the building itself acts as an exhibit through the use of solar power, green walls, visible earthquake-resistant structures and elevator mechanisms.

11 「Hirokoji-Fushimi」Stop
This modern building in Shirakawa Park was designed by the renowned architect Kisho Kurokawa and houses around 8,500 works including École de Paris and Renacimiento Mexicano, contemporary art from both within Japan and overseas, and works by local artists.

A science museum where visitors can enjoy learning about electricity, energy and the global environment. Have fun experiencing the mysteries of science, creating your own crafts, and participating in experiments. The museum also offers thrilling and exciting experiences such as the Ohm Theater, where you can participate in quizzes and games in which your own face is incorporated into the on-screen display.
