Step into a world of internationally acclaimed Studio Ghibli stories!

Ghibli Park was established inside Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park (Moricoro Park) to illustrate the beloved works of Studio Ghibli.
The park is made up of five different areas, with the first phase opening Ghibli's Grand Warehouse, the Hill of Youth, and Dondoko Forest to the public in November 2022. The second phase opened Mononoke Village in fall of 2023 and the Valley of Witches is planned for March 2024. Take walk through forests and paths leading you right into the world of Studio Ghibli.

Areas opened November 2022

Hill of Youth

The Hill of Youth area lies near the North Entrance of Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park and greets guests as the gateway to the world of Ghibli Park.
The area has a building portraying the World Emporium where antique furniture and clocks from Whisper of the Heart are repaired and sold. You can also peak into the Cat Bureau from The Cat Returns.
The Elevator Tower is available for anyone to use without a ticket to Ghibli Park and showcases a characteristic design of a late 19th-century science-fictional world you might see in Castle in the Sky or Howl's Moving Castle.

A cinema showing short Studio Ghibli animations is also available in addition to three rotating exhibits, to let you delve even deeper into the Ghibli world.
Or give your feet a rest at the Transcontinental Flight Café after exploring the expansive warehouse. And of course, all your souvenir needs are met at Shop "Adventurous Flying Squadron", offering a full lineup of products tied to all of the Ghibli stories.

Studio Ghibli's first tourism video:
Play Along with the Wind

Studio Ghibli created a promotional tourism video through the perspective of the Ghibli world to show the allure of Aichi—Home of Ghibli Park.
The footage was mainly shot from the air via drone with the prefecture of Aichi as its stage and created thanks to the prowess of movie director Ryutaro Nakagawa, video director Ussiy, and music composer Taisei Iwasaki.

Historic Townscapes of Arimatsu

Historic Townscapes of Arimatsu

The village was established in 1608 between the post towns of Chiryu and Narumi on the Old Tokaido Road, through encouragement by the ruling clan. The traditional Arimatsu-shibori tie-dyeing of this area is said to have been invented by the first immigrant to the village, Takeda Shokuro, and the village prospered along with the tie-dyeing industry. Arimatsu lies along about 800 gently bending meters of the Tokaido Road. The townscape's relatively relaxed atmosphere has been preserved, with many wide-plot tie-dyeing stores, gates, and fences.
