Chiyokura Memorial Museum
A powerful family of Nagoya's historic Narumi area
The Chiyokura Memorial Museum introduces the history of the Narumi Post Town on the historical Tokai Road. Diaries and other items of the successive heads of the Shimogo Chiyokura family, in existence for about 400 years since the Edo period, offer insight into Japan's past as well as planned exhibits and info on other cultural figures with connections to the Chiyokura family, such as Matsuo Basho and Ike Taiga.
