Kakuozan, an area ofNagoya rich in culture and history, is a great place for international visitors to experience authentic Japanese culture. This tour is designed around an authentic Nagoya experience, including a tea ceremony experience using actual tea utensils used by Furukawa Tamesaburo (not replicas), traditional villa architecture and gardens, and visits to historic temples such as Nittai-ji and Sooji. The tour also includes an English guided stroll through the Kakuozan shopping arcade.

| Details | 10:00 - 10:30 AM: Furukawa Art Museum Guided tour of the museum's key exhibits. ↓ ーShort walkー ↓ 10:45 - 11:15 AM: Tamesaburo Memorial Museum Enjoy a guided tour of the Tamesaburo Memorial Museum. ↓ 11:15 - 12:15 PM: Tea Ceremony Experiences Tea ceremony experience using Tamesaburo Furukawa's tea utensils. ↓ ーShort walk to the next location with a restroom breakー ↓ 12:30 - 1:45 PM: Lunch at Kakuozan Shopping street The guide will introduce recommended eateries. ↓ 1:45 - 4:00 PM: Exploring the Shrines and Temples of the Kakuozan Area ・Nittaiji Temple A temple built to enshrine the Buddha's relics and gilded bronze statue sent from Thailand. It is the only temple in Japan not affiliated with any specific Buddhist sect. ・Yokiso The garden, where you can enjoy the beauty of each season, features a blend of Japanese and Western-style buildings, a tea room for sencha, and a bridge with famous ceiling paintings, offering numerous highlights to explore. ・Sououji Temple The family temple of the Tokugawa clan. It features a stage modeled after Kyoto's Kiyomizu-dera Temple, offering stunning views from the temple grounds. ↓ 4:00 PM: Kakuozan station End of the tour. |
