Chukyo Area Evangelion Project: Radiating across the world from Nagoya's Sasashima Live
Event information:
Institutions around the Chukyo area, mainly the area around Nagoya in the Prefecture of Aichi, have teamed up with the wildly popular anime, Evangelion, for a project currently underway in anticipation of the Rebuild of Evangelion's new film release in June this year.
From January to March, a variety of collaborative events are being held at Nagoya's Sasashima Live, Chubu Centrair International Airport, and other locations.

Special Evangelion Unit-01 statue exhibition
Location: Middle of the arrival lobby on the second floor of Terminal 1
Period: Tentatively from Friday, December 27, 2019 to Tuesday, March 31, 2020
A nearly 3-meter-tall, golden Unit-01 greets passengers upon their arrival.
Chukyo Area Evangelion Project's Specially Selected Original Illustration Exhibition (entry required)
Venue: Centrair Hall (Second Centrair Building)
Period: Tentative 21 days from Friday, February 21 to Friday, March 6, 2020
Time: Tentatively from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
(Admission until 30 minutes before closing. Open until 7:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays, and until 4:00 PM on the last day.)
Regular tickets: 1,000 yen for adults and university students, 800 yen for junior high school / high school students *Free for elementary school students and younger
This exhibition has been reorganized using nearly 200 specially selected production materials from an Evangelion exhibition touring around Japan since 2013 to let you once again feel the magic of Rebuild's 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone., 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance., and 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo. through displays of their background imagery, serious mechanics and other aspects, and original illustrations of various scenes from the films. What's more, copies of original illustrations and character references will also be on display for the June 2020 release of Evangelion: 3.0+1.0.

Special exhibition of an almost 6-meter-tall Evangelion Unit-01 statue
Location: Global Gate's first floor atrium

Feast your eyes on a nearly 6-meter-tall Unit-01 statue in the center of Sasashima Live's landmark, the commercial Global Gate complex.

The entire area of the first floor's entrance is decorated in Evangelion-fashion and offers a cafe corner as well as a section with Evangelion merchandise available for purchase.

A special Evangelion μ-SKY train with a Unit-01 design is running during the period above.
Evangelion Diorama Stamp Rally
The Evangelion Diorama Stamp Rally is being held along Meitetsu routes during the period above. Enjoy dioramas by Kaiyodo bringing the anime to life at some of the stamp collection points, and depending on the amount of stamps collected, you can even get original Evangelion merchandise on a first come, first served basis.
Evangelion was a TV anime series broadcast in 1995 which became a social phenomenon among youth, spawning movies, graphic novels, character merchandise, pachinko games, cosplay costumes, and more. Starting in 2007, the series was reborn through the four-part Rebuild of Evangelion films, 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone., 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance., 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo., and 3.0+1.0, strengthening its fan base. In the third installment released in November of 2012, 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo., a new storyline was introduced, making it a major hit as it drew in an audience of over 2.8 million viewers.
