Hometowns of Japan Kenjinkai Festival
The Hometowns of Japan Kenjinkai Festival is an event showcasing the allure of the places people call their hometowns in Japan.
"Kenjinkai" refers to a friendship association in a prefecture other than the one it represents for people who are originally from that prefecture but no longer live there. The theme of this event is "connecting people's hearts through the bond with hometowns," and it lets you experience the characteristic charm of the various parts of Japan, from Hokkaido to Okinawa, through everything from traditional art forms such as dances and folk songs to local cuisines.
Performances of folk entertainment on the main stage as well as stages featuring local mascots are held. In addition to quiz rallies and drawings, you can enjoy delicious local cuisines, snacks, and alcoholic beverages from all over Japan.
Go around the event's premises and get a feel for the intrigue of the various parts of Japan while in Nagoya.
