Arimatsu-Narumi tie-dyeing is a traditional craft of the Nagoya area using the Yukibana Shibori method. Experience the method as you create your own unique hand towel. Cloth is folded into triangles and pressed between boards in the Itajime technique before dyeing to create snowflake-like and flower-like crystalline patterns; hence the name "Yukibana", which means "snow and flowers". Depending on the depth and time the cloth is dyed, you truly are able to make your own original design for a hand towel like no other. This is the perfect souvenir to take home as a memory of your days in Nagoya.

Marble pattern dyeing uses the Suminagashi dyeing method, where a pattern is created with pigment floating on the water's surface and then printed onto the fabric—a method handed down since the Heian period. The dye floating on the water surface can be shaped into hearts, swirls, flowers, and any other shape your imagination can conjure up which then lets your create your own handkerchief.
